Training that Advances with You
Greene’s Energy Group invests in its employees. Whether you are a new-hire field helper or an experienced technical professional, Greene’s offers you
both in-house and third-party training classes and programs. All new
employees must complete Basic Safety Orientation and Smith System
Driver Safety Training.
Typical field, entry-level training involves considerable on-the-job
training. In addition, basic industry training courses and customer-specific
training courses are required and paid for by Greene's. Employees
must maintain industry-specific certifications and training, such
as OSHA’s Basic Orientation Plus, IADC Rig Pass Orientation, Hydrogen-Sulfide Safety, Marine Survival, and/or First Aid /CPR to name a few.
The types of training and certifications will depend on your job responsibilities
and the energy-service segment you serve (drilling, production, pipeline,
refining, offshore). Certain senior employees also maintain industry certifications, such as DOT Operator Qualification, and offer
in-house industry training.
Greene’s subject-matter experts conduct service-specific technical-training
classes at our Lafayette Training Center or on-site at company base locations.
Operators and technicians can advance through three levels of company
qualifications. Supervisory and management training is also offered. Greene's uses
industry-leading, third-party training companies and professionals offering it's employees the very best in training. Greene’s encourages and
pays for certain employees to attend industry seminars, conferences and
exhibitions to keep up with industry developments and learn
about the latest technologies and tools. Everything from basic computer
software skills to multiyear executive-management training is offered
to qualified Greene’s employees.
