Safety First and Foremost
General Policy: It
is the philosophy of Greene’s Energy Group to ensure
a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
The only way to accomplish this goal is through 100 percent
commitment from all employees.
Greene’s philosophy
is to perform work in a manner that protects the health
and safety of its employees and the public, preserves
the environment, and prevents damage to property. In
all work activities, the health and safety of Greene’s
employees and the environment shall be priority considerations.
It is the intention of Greene’s to comply with all
applicable federal, state, local, and industry safety
and health regulations. Greene’s Energy Group considers
safety to be first and foremost.
Objectives: Greene’s
objectives in the fulfillment of this
policy are:
- During day-to-day operations, safety
is the most important consideration.
- Accidents can be prevented through
attention to hazards and potential hazards as well as the
involvement of each individual within the organization.
- Each supervisor is expected to
ensure that all individuals reporting to him or her understands
Greene's safety expectations, as well as the means by which they
can safely perform their assignments.
- Each individual is responsible
for promoting a safe, healthy and environmentally
sound workplace by ensuring his or her own safety and
the safety of others.
- All employees will be held accountable
for meeting the requirements and expectations set
forth in Greene’s Corporate Health, Safety,
and Environmental process.
- Each location, where feasible,
will establish and maintain an active safety committee.
- A counseling, retraining and discipline
program is directed at offenders
of safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities: The
responsibilities for the implementation of this policy
rest with all employees. Greene’s employees shall do
everything possible and necessary to eliminate accidents.
Reducing accidents and unnecessary losses will help
us to be more competitive in our industry.
The most
important piece of safety equipment on any job is a
well-trained employee who exercises good judgment and
who has a thorough working knowledge of his or her job, capabilities
and applicable safety guidelines.
