Greene’s has decades of experience in wellhead protection and isolation services and wellhead equipment.
In an industry where things are rarely simple, the concept and execution of wellhead isolation is, simply put, the most logical, cost-effective and safest method for protecting your wellhead during high-pressure stimulation operations. Guardian Wellhead Protection & Rentals provides oil and gas stage tools and other tree savers, tubing savers and casing savers among its wellhead isolation rental equipment.
Whether your need is for a single wellhead or multiple wells in a plugging, fracking or perforating operation, Guardian can provide the equipment and the experienced personnel to safely and efficiently provide a solution.
High-pressure, high-volume well stimulation requires the best wellhead isolation equipment and experienced personnel to operate it. Wellhead isolation and protection tools shield the wellhead from higher pressures and abrasive materials which are being pumped during well stimulation operations.
Eliminate the need to kill the well
The corrosive nature of the fluids and sand which flow through the wellhead not only reduce the life and efficiency of the equipment, but can create serious safety hazards if washouts occur during pumping.
Isolating your wellhead from these elements protects your well, your ancillary equipment, your people, and your profits by minimizing non-productive time and pressure related incidents. Our tools allow you to frac directly through the existing wellhead, eliminating the need to kill the well and reducing the possibility of valves failing during the operation due to sand and erosion.
Renting your equipment and securing qualified personnel to operate them from Guardian allows customers to focus on oil and gas production.
During rig-up, Greene’s wellhead protection tools are suspended from a crane and placed on top of the frac valves, on top of the wellhead, using a Greene’s setting tool. The mandrel of the tool (which can extend up to 12 feet) is hydraulically inserted into the wellhead using the setting tool, passing through any frac valves and the bottom wellhead valve before seating against the wellhead inside diameter surface.
A frac head is placed on top of the stage tool and connected to a frac manifold.
During fracturing operations, frac fluid is pumped through the frac head and through the mandrel of the stage tool, into the wellbore, thereby avoiding direct contact of frac fluid with the wellhead and any frac valves. The tool’s hydraulically actuated plug valves provide the ability to control and shut off the well while the tool is installed during frac and related-wireline operations.
The tool can also accommodate the placement of a wireline BOP and lubricator on top, and allows for the running of wireline for plug and perforation operations in between frac stages without the need to change equipment, thereby reducing downtime during the fracturing process and allowing operators to bring wells into service more quickly
